Lekolar

Lekolar develops learning environments and is currently the market leader in the Nordic region for educational aids, toys, furniture, and consumables for schools and preschools. The company operates in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden and has approximately 300 employees.

DGE has helped Lekolar with various parts of sustainability work since 2010. Initially, primarily the development of the company’s management system, with all the tasks associated with this. Subsequently, we have continued to support quality and environmental work in the form of training, legal monitoring, environmental aspect assessment, and internal audits.

In recent years, both the company’s work and our support have expanded to a broader sustainability perspective with life cycle analyses, climate calculations, circular economy, and supplier audits. The work to understand and evaluate its supply chain is increasingly important for many companies, and for Lekolar, this is central.

DGE has helped set up a process for supplier audits focused on developing suppliers’ sustainability performance and has also conducted several on-site audits at the suppliers. In the autumn of 2021, we also conducted a mapping of the climate footprint for the company’s purchased products in Scope 3 and set up a calculation methodology to include this important part in the annual reporting according to the GHG protocol.

DGE is a reliable and knowledgeable support in our sustainability efforts, both with social and environmental sustainability issues. There is so much happening in this field, and it feels reassuring to know that help is available.
