Estrella introduced popcorn and chips to the Swedish market as early as 1957 and has since been a leading player in the snack market. The main production takes place in Angered outside Gothenburg. The company has a total of approximately 250 employees. DGE has supported Estrella’s environmental and sustainability work since 2018
DGE has conducted various investigations to update the business on its environmental impact and supported the ongoing self-monitoring. Here are some of the services we have carried out:

- Air emission measurements from the boiler plant
- Sampling and analysis of odor strengths
- Review of control systems regarding sustainability statements
- Periodic inspections
The proximity contributes to flexibility but also allows us to take a comprehensive approach to many of the services that an environmentally hazardous operation needs. The various assignments lead to getting to know each other well, which both parties will surely benefit from in future issues.
